I also faced an incident back in 2000 in Grand Trunk express. We went from Chennai to Delhi as kids with our mother. We were travelling by 2nd AC. I think after we crossed Nagpur/after we entered Madhya Pradesh, a TTR came with a big family of around 12-15 people. He asked us and a couple more families to move and adjust and accomodate his family. When my mother and few others said it was reserved seats, he rudely said he is a senior TTR and will throw us out from train mostly in Hindi and some broken english. And even the actual TTR came and spent some time with this guy n family. We had to adjust for 4-5 hrs.

Kids should not fear their parents, but should feel intimidated by them, if they misbehave. Child services idea is really good, but we all know cos of social media and internet in general, kids are not maturing enough but yes they know all the bulls****y out there, cos new age parents only know one way to shut their kids off, by handing the phone over to them.

A good beating is never the answer, rather as parents, how good you are at explaining and making the kids comprehend the consequences of their actions should be the objective.

I support the old schooling methods in a sensible manner. We don’t have to scold/hit them every time even for silly mistakes. When it really needed, I don’t hesitate taking necessary actions to discipline kids.

There should be a government app where we could report the spam numbers, kinda like truecaller but they suspend those numbers instead of how things are right now where we just block the numbers and they move on to the next name on the list.
