You notice for YC they always use AirBNB for an example. Well duh, of course they could build a crappy thing because it was in 2007 where everything was equally crappy.

In the age where users are accustomed to a baseline user experience, even if your startup does solve a problem, if it is ugly, crappy, or non fully intuitive, it will be interpreted as a bad product.
