As I am writing this comment I am traveling in a bus.
At the baramunda bus stop 2 hindi guys wanted to get inside thr bus. So the bus conductor asked them to get inside but made it clear that they will not be given any seats as they are traveling to khurda town only (which is a local stop for the bus- the bus' route is bhubaneswar to Phulbani.( the conductor tried to convey everything in Hindi but he was not fluent)

It made the the 2 guys angry and they said in a high pitched tone "arey conductor Hindi bollakar..Kyada diktat Hai tere ko..ye India Hai

Seeing this I got infuriated and told them "unko Hindi nahi malum, tum odia bolo..odia is not a Pakistani language"
Before they reply my they were called by a a auto wala so the heated conversation did not proceed further.

I thought, forget about state, i am even not allowed to speak in odia in my own district just to accommodate north Indian freedom fighters.

I'm at a point where I let Darwin's theory play out on these.

Thats is subjective to each individual and depends on many factors. Took me 4-5 years to be profitable and year 6 to quit my day job.

But the thing is, the only reason i was able to quit my day job was, Through-out my time actually in my day job, i was investing all my extra income. And the assets i invested in turned out to be good choices so my money multiplied significantly.

So with that happening, I use a "chunk" of that income to fund my trading account. So now i have a large trading account. This has helped me be able to quit my day job.


Another huge factor that no one talks about is this. I kept a very good relationship with my then current employer and left on good terms. And he said if it doesnt work out, I can have my job back no questions asked. So that was reassurance that if it didnt work, i can just go back to my day job. So pretty much a risk free try and following my dream.

In the beginning it was pretty stressful, but over time it gets easier (pretty much how it works with anything)
