I studied in deemed university where most of them are from Andhra &North india.

I came to know Couple of students are very rich like one parent was stake holder in a pharma company, other persons parent was established business man and few people from chennai whose parents belong to gazetted govt officers.

The watches they wear,gadgets they have and how they groom (perfume) are giving off their wealth.

I'm a day scholar from nearby city and i went in college through student concession bus pass (if you goto bus depot and provide your id card, they give like 60% concession monthly bus pass) and some other time i had to skip lunch or bf if i dont get any buses (i have to switch 2 buses to college) or if have less funds.

Am not poor but dont wanna cause any burden to parents as i know their struggle.

One thing i didnt take into heart is my friend's wealth or attitude towards me. I'll be stinking in sweat by the time i reach college even with decent deo as i have to travel in jam packed bus. I wore decent dress but not wealthy ones. I took the study seriously.

I focused on the study that ill improve my condition. During 2nd year my dad wasnt able to afford laptop and i had to borrow the laptop for quick assignment submission. I get from fellow students and i get looked down. I feel bad n embrassed to the core. Often times i get laptop close to deadline date and have to wake until late nights to complete. (Hope you get the picture).

That time in college verandah i used to think lot of times that i had a time machine where the future me was able to afford me a laptop and a bike but it doesnt happen in real life right.

3rdyear,my parents were able to arrange laptop and also had to take some loan from relatives for that.

I was 1st or 2nd in the college subjects, even if am late due to bus switches, i was able to justify and convince my professors the reason behind it.(they were compassionate).
I kept education as my only hold to come out of this struggle.

At 7th semester, i had applied to many research institute but almost 80% of them rejected as i dont have a referral or high CGPA.
Mine was close to 80% but the scholars were expecting only 99% instead of passion (this is why india is so behind china in getting many patents. You are judged based on your rank alone).

In final year project, after so many tries, i convinced my mentor at a famous eye hospital with my abstract to create a drug to prevent blindness. Worked day and night to submit the thesis and was informed that for further grants its been submitted to central govt research. At same time i was placed in campus interview.

Due to family situation, i had to take up the job instead of research line and now atleast am well compared to life leading in college. One day will come where you'll be miles ahead than now but that you need to wait and be patient &progress every day towards your goal.

P.s. I had a huge crush on a girl that time but given my situation i couldn't propose her. I honestly feel, she couldve known my feelings in 4 years and she has been my support structure during my college time. But we didnt take it to next level because both of us were in financial situation where we had to achieve something and improve our respective family conditions.
This is one thing i regret until now.

Wish you all the sucess and keep me posted when you achieve something you are proud of.
