Flyovers might take 10 years to be completed like the metro. Once the magnificent Kathipara butterfly flyover was completed in 3 record years. The 2 wing flyovers in padi and koyembedu too were built in less than 5 years. Such rapid development has been missing in Chennai since 2010 in fact. It continues in the recent reign too. Teynampet - Saidapet flyover began construction in late 2023. 1.5 years now only 5% of work has been completed. Today, I had to deal with FIVE consecutive drivers canceling on me because I refused to pay extra outside the app fare.
