Not trying to offend anyone’s religious sentiments, but what’s the obsession with dunking in a river that's basically marinated in piss, shit, rotting corpses, and industrial sludge? I get why the uneducated and underprivileged fall for it, but what’s the excuse for the rest?

Edit: P.S. I was born into a Hindu family, so I’m questioning this in good faith. I’m not interested in the "whataboutism" in the comments, and it’s honestly pathetic that people are sending me abusive DMs and then deleting them to save face.

Anyone who doesn't really leave their house, and live like a total shut-in?

A shut-in is someone who are less likely to leave their home/room, and prefer to be all alone than in company of anyone else. They tend to have severe anxiety issues, and possibly have a toxic relationship with their families while having little to no irl friends. Because of the such factors, and a lot more, they may have grown dysfunctional and depressed, and lead a purposeless and unfulfilling lives. What I described could be a phase in their lives and not something that would necessarily develop into a...

How Chennai’s IT corridor becoming an urban development disaster

As a Chennaiite, I'm sad to see OMR becoming another Bangalore. I ran away from Bangalore unable to handle the overcrowded metros, traffic and water issues. Chennai's OMR is no better :( (at least the weather in BLR was good) Traffic moving inch by inch, inflated rents, water logging and never ending metro works. OMR has been the IT corridor for a long time. I am surprised to read in this article that "Beyond SRP Tools, there is no water or sewage connection". How come the city did not...

What would you react like if your partner supports beating children ?

So , let's say you are dating someone and they happen to support schooling children the old way , I mean to say , hit them and scold them like the previous generations did because they believe that is what has brought the best out of this generation .I personally prefer communicating and grounding children over old school methods as it'll give them a sense of safety instead of fear of parents . How would you react to this opinion ?

Hey everyone, I want some help related to my sibling's history project about Goa.

So, basically she was told to make a documentary on the topic "Amche Vintage Goa in 1900s" and she don't know where will she get images, it should be between 1910s - 1960s of some places in Goa which are not available on google. Can anyone suggest from where to collect this pictures from? (Specially photographs which are original and related to the freedom struggle) Please provide information of any website of you know, it would be great help.

    My laptop fan is vibrating/buzzing

I own an asus vivobook and have been facing some heating issue so I opened my laptop for the first time in two years and cleaned it, did nothing fancy just took a soft paint brush and cleaned all the dust from the vents and the FAN. After that I assembled everything and put it back but after a while the fan has started to vibrate and is making buzz noise. The buzzing starts but then stops after a while I saw some post regarding the same saying the...
