Is it similar to North Indian version.

This is a random post, because of a conversation I had with my friend sometime back. I told him that Mangalore's roadside pani puri shops (not the golgappas, but from trolley shops with other items) serve the best pani puri, which tastes amazing. I haven't found similar puri snacks in Bangalore. My friend suggested a few places, claiming they might be better, but I've tried pani puri from nice North Indian restaurants, which tastes good but isn't similar to what's available in Mangalore. Are the pani puri in Mangalore similar...

The Weight of Solitude in a City That Never Notices

Hyderabad is a city of movement—buses packed with strangers, chai stalls buzzing with chatter, roads filled with honking impatience. It thrives, it expands, it consumes. And yet, in the midst of it all, some of us remain unseen. I've always felt like a background character in my own life. I exist, but I don't belong. Conversations slip through my fingers like sand; connections remain one-sided, like echoes calling into an empty void. They say attention is something you earn, but what if you spend years trying, only to realize...

How did Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj attain a god-like or near-divine status?

I'm a complete history noob, and I mean no disrespect to anyone or question anyone's beliefs. Recently, I visited Maharashtra and was surprised by how much Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is worshipped and loved there. I've heard about him and read about him from the limited resources available to the general public, but I've never seen such widespread admiration for any other Indian king in other states I've visited. I've noticed that people in Maharashtra often have his idol in their cars and speak about him with great reverence. I'm...

Feeling Lost Between Ambition and Family – Need Advice

Hey everyone, I’ve been living in Bangalore for the past 3+ years. I moved here for work, joining a startup as one of the first few members. At that time, everything felt exciting — the hustle, the learning, the growth. I was driven, ambitious, and full of energy. Now, fast forward to today: the company has scaled massively. Things are going great, but for some reason, I don’t feel that initial spark anymore. The excitement is fading, and I’m just going through the motions. With growth comes a lot...

Podcastors need data about their audience. I will not promote

I have never missed filling up the Acquired podcast survey every year. If you have ever you can clearly see that they want to build a profile of who you are, and if you have been a long time listener you'll often hear Ben say it's a challenge to get information about their listeners to share with their advertisers. I am thinking of a kind of a tool that can help podcastors to understand their audience and build a community. There's Discord and Slack for engaging with the audience,...
