    Restaurants for celebration

Hi all, we are a group of 8 adults and a toddler from NY. We are well travelled and exposed to different cuisines. We will be in Mumbai next month to celebrate my aunt's 70th birthday. 10 years ago, we went to the Rambagh palace in Jaipur to celebrate her 60th birthday. That dinner was epic. I am wondering if you have any recommendations for a dinner spot in Mumbai that would be comparable to the Rambagh palace in Jaipur. And a place that allows toddlers. We checked with...

Would I get security updates after 7 years?

I have a 2018 Macbook. I understand that this will be the last year that I will be getting an update (7 years). What happens next though? Would I be getting some security updates at least? My Macbook works totally fine and the battery life is fairly good. I don't use it everyday. Probably a few times a week for a couple of hours so I really don't want to buy a new one for now. Thank you!

What should I do with a 5 bhk house .

I own a house in Desom. Nearby airport And near by Aluva. Unable to sell because nobody seems interested. Either too pricey or it’s a bit deep inside from the NH and small roads. I’m thinking to make either Men’s hostel- no contract stay however professional hostel single rooms luxurious a bit Or Airbnb- What do you think this locality needs? What can I make the most money out?

Do you think indian healthcare system is a scam?

my house help's son had an accident and broke his leg, and he had to stay at the hospital overnight, and the total bill of everything included came to around 2.6 lakhs. Thankfully I'm in a position where I can afford something like that but majority of India can't. Do you think our healthcare system is just as fucked as the US? Exploiting people and crumbling them under debt or is this one of a few cases. ( I should mention I'm from a metropolitan city so healthcare here...

In Hinduism, naam jaap is enough to liberate you. Then why don't pretas who suffer from immeasurable miseries do the naam jaap?

That is the thing they can do at least because you can do naam jaap in your mind too - no need to produce sound. What is stopping pretas and other entities to uplift themselves from their miseries?

Intercultural Relationship with a Bihari Partner

I'm a 27-year-old South Indian woman, and I was recently asked out by a 25-year-old man from Bihar. He is nice, Smart and we vibe well together.Since I’m not familiar with Bihari culture and traditions, I’m wondering what it might be like to be in a relationship with someone from that background. I see relationships as long-term commitments, so I’m curious if anyone has experience being in a relationship with someone from Bihar. How did it work out, especially when it comes to cultural differences? Additionally, we belong to...

US Citizen - Might move to Hyderabad on an expat assignment?

I work for a big tech company in the US (an amazing company that's known internationally) and they want myself and my parter to relocate me to hyderabad for a 3 year stint. It's not a concern for my partner because they work at a non-profit anyway (which they could do in a similar capacity in India) and have lived in tons of countries (they're open to the idea). I'm an American-born Desi, but aside from some trips to my grandparents and relatives in India (Surat), I haven't spent...
