Why is this Criminal Negligence Tolerated om Mangaluru? We live around 8 to 10 kilometres (Kottara Chowki) away from Pachanady Waste dumping yard near Mangalore. Most night for a few hours we get noticeable garbage smell in our apartment, depending on wind direction. I have heard similar stories from residents in Maryhill, Paldane, Kulshekar, Padavinangady and other areas. Isn't this criminal negligence? Smell upto 100 metres of the waste processing yard is understandable, but 10 kilometres away?? Something terribly wrong is going on there and this is going on for many years. Why do Indians honk when someone ahead of them brakes? On the road, if you see someone ahead of you turning / slowing down / stopping, you also slow down or stop, depending on the situation ahead. But as soon as you do this, the person right behind you starts honking as if you've committed some cardinal crime. I want to understand why is this? What do people want to achieve?
