Is the preference to have a male-child, done out of love? I don't think so, The preference for having kids continuously until a male-child is born is **not** driven out of love. It is driven by something much worse, dependency. Before, even the child is born the fate is decided for him that he will becomes this, he will earn this much. (झाकीर माझ्यापेक्षा 1 वर्षांनी लहान. म्हणजे त्यावेळी तो 19-20 वर्षांचा असावा.) झाकीर हुसेन हा इतका गोड आणि लोभस व्यक्तिमत्वाचा, विनयी आणि साधा होता की तो पटकन आमच्यात मिसळून जायचा. त्याला आता आठवणारही नाही पण एकदा तर मी आणि तो जसराजांकडून निघालो आणि खालीच असलेल्या इराण्याच्या हॉटेलमध्ये 'पानी कम चहा' पिऊन समुद्रावर फिरायलाही गेलो होतो !... 5 0 replies
