High beam menace Hi all, I urge you from the bottom of my heart to please put in a conscious effort and use low beam inside the city. Almost every vehicle uses high beam at night here, be it a car or a bike or even auto rickshaws! Signalling people to turn off the the high beam doesn't help, half of them don't even understand the signs. Makes it really difficult to look past vehicles and judge the road and traffic ahead because of how blinding it becomes. It can even cause... 3 20 replies
Investment query to help with my financial dilemma My 17 Yr old flat currently generates a monthly rental income of 35k with 3.5k deducted for maintenance. After accounting for miscellaneous expenses I can estimate the annual earnings to be around 3.5 lakh/yr or approximately 29k/month. The dilemma is if I sell the flat and invest the ₹80 lakh in a low-risk scheme offering a 10.75% interest rate 18 month lock-in period, the monthly earnings would amount to roughly 71k/month. Even if I assume a more conservative interest rate of 7% to account for even lower risk I can... 1 3 replies
IIT Baba Beginning of this year has been colourful, random, exotic. Especially in the background of Mahakumbh. IIT Baba Abhay Singh is on the current trend. I find him fearless, naive, raw, genuine, funny, insightful, truthful and much more. Would love to hear your thoughts on these occurrences. 3 8 replies
What's the most disturbing secret you know about someone that would ruin their life if exposed—but you stay silent, pretending you don’t know? My friend cheated on her boyfriend early in their relationship. Now their families think they’re a match made in heaven, planning an engagement soon. But here’s the thing—only I know the truth. She’s done this before, like it’s a habit she can’t break. Watching them smile, pose for photos, make future plans…it’s like witnessing a beautiful lie wrapped in wedding prep. And I’m the only one holding the secret that could burn it all down. 5 20 replies
Is not having Occupational Certificate (OC) very common for Apartments in Bengaluru? I have seen multiple apartments where the owners are not given the OC by the builders across Bengaluru and many of them are pending since almost a decade as well that does not allow the residents to even apply e-Khata. In my experience in other cities as well, residents are not liable legally to pay maintenance amount also without OC but here all builders are usually charging the same and people are widely cooperating with them as well but nobody raises any concerns. Further, the RWA takes amount in... 4 2 replies
Lack of Direct Connectivity Between G.N. and Faridabad I was reviewing the NCR map and noticed a significant infrastructure gap. There is no direct road connection between Noida and Gurugram without passing through Delhi via the DND route. The only natural barrier is the Yamuna River, which, given modern engineering capabilities, should not be a major constraint. A direct road linking Faridabad Industrial Township and Noida NSEZ, with a bridge over the Yamuna, could reduce the travel distance by nearly one-third and significantly cut travel time by bypassing Delhi’s congestion. This would enhance connectivity, improve economic efficiency,... 5 6 replies

I tasted a cloud! I was in Lucknow this weekend for a friend’s wedding. I’d been to the city once before in 2018, but I never really got around to exploring its food scene. This time, though, it was all about indulging my taste buds. And wow, did I have a moment. I finally tried makhan—something I’d heard about for years from friends and Lucknow locals. I took my first spoonful, and I swear, my eyes welled up. It was like eating a cloud—so light, so airy, it just disappeared on my tongue.... 5 14 replies
