What happened to the app? Does anybody know how to fix these issues?

I have an android phone and YouTube Premium Had never had issues but suddenly it started happening that when playing a video it automatically goes in full screen in portrait mode (annoying since I always have to close it) And the mini player prevents me from navigating the app? Before I could search for other videos while playing something but now it catches every swipe (in the attached video you can see I am swiping elsewhere and the mini player is reacting) Does anybody know how to fix this? Or is there a setting?
