Are we looking at our city in a pessimistic view/are we really that lacking?

Most of the posts here have one common reply. “Get on a plane and go to so and so place.” Are we really that boring? If not what’s the best way to enjoy free time in vijayawada? If yes, what are we really lacking as a city and what all do we need to make it more happening? Now that it is confirmed to be closest to capital, I think we can demand or at least hope for few things. But before anything else, I want to know what all we as a community is looking for.
