  • How to sell off an old scrap Vehicle?

So, my father has an old bike that's been in **non-usable** condition since COVID-19. It's just been sitting outside for over 4 years now, collecting dust and turning into scrap. The RC has expired, and we’ve decided it’s time to sell it off since it’s just taking up space. But selling an old vehicle seems complicated, especially with the RC being in my father’s name. I’ve heard a lot about how people reuse old vehicle engines and number plates for illegal activities, and we really don’t want to get caught up in any of that. So, I’m wondering if anyone has any advice on how to sell off this old scrap vehicle without any hassle or headache? 1. We considered selling it to a government-authorized scrap center, but the nearest one is about 3 hours away, and transporting the bike there would be a real pain. 2. Some people suggested selling it to scrap dealers, but I’m not sure if we can trust them blindly to handle everything legally. Will there be any risk of parts being misused or used for illegal purposes? 3. Also, I’ve heard that before selling it, we need to hand over the RC to the RTO officer. Can anyone tell me what the exact process for that is? 4. Are there any better options to sell it off, or maybe even agents who can help handle the paperwork and legal stuff? 5. Is there any thing to keep in mind before proceeding any further or any precautions to take? Any advice or information related to this would help. P.S. - I’m really just trying to figure out the best way to do this without any issues so please don't judge me. Thanks in advance for any advice!
