VBL: Big Short

When markets opened sentiments were negative because of acquisition date being pushed to a month later. FIIs opened a big short positions in futures to ride on this sentiment and create momentum. Stop losses of option writers would have been triggered. Creating further panic. Towards the end of the market some short covering was visible. With stock being at 52 week low. Downside risk is small and upside potential is high. Good time to open positions in this stock.

LIC at Lifetime Low and IRCTC at 52W Low

With the ongoing dip, many qualities Large Caps are at 52W and even lifetime lows. LIC is one such stock at its lifetime low. I am guessing it would be a good time to invest in it. Stocks are falling on such meagre volumes indicating lack of buyers, so much fear on the street specially in micro, mid and small. Valuations are more than fair in most stocks i think the pain is near it's peak as more and more people are giving up on smaller names

Never made more sense to invest in US stocks

After the budget ruling decreasing LTCG on us stocks to 12.5%. It makes infinitely more sense to buy US gold and debt equities rather than Indian ones. (Which have 30% tax btw). Can someone explain why we would do this

F&O Hedging Strategy

Hi Fellow Traders, I was exploring a Hedging Strategy and have come up with something. Want to share across you all, to get your reviews and first-hand experience if anyone has tried anything similar. The strategy is to buy the NIFTY Futures and roll over them each month. To hedge, sell 2 lots of NIFTY Call Options, Out-the-money. This way we make sure that we eat premium from options to offset the rollover cost and then hedge the profit with Nifty movement. Please suggest.

Guys what's happening with MO Fin Services and VBL?

MO has been falling from 760-770 2 weeks back to 580 today. The company has good fundamentals and even the P/E isn't bad. VBL hasn't seen that kind of a fall but isn't doing very well either. Any idea what's going on? I have MO at 645 avg. Do you think I should fit losses or hold?
