AI Nutritionist scouting - I will not promote Hi everyone, I'm on the lookout for any innovative startups or services that leverage AI for nutrition purposes, specifically for creating personalized meal plans, generating recipes, or offering dietary advice. I'm interested in finding options available both in the EU and the US. Have you come across any platforms or apps that stand out in this space? I'd love to hear about your experiences, whether they're positive or negative, to get a better sense of what's out there. Any recommendations or insights would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance... 3 2 replies
Early Entrepreneurs - Stand Your Ground “i will not promote” I want every new entrepreneur to hear this. Stand Your Ground! As someone new to startups, I didn’t push back enough during the design of my application. I was dealing with an experienced UX/UI designer and followed their guidance, even though it went against what I was comfortable with/wanting. One example is they convinced me to do manual vs automated sign up for users in MVP. Now that I have a technical lead, that person stated that the only way to proceed is automated. Because of this, i’m now... 4 1 replies
What’s one thing you wish you knew before launching? I Will Not Promote Hi - I’m launching ~~REDACTED, I WILL NOT PROMOTE~~ soon™. It’s my first real launch *(unless you count a small free site I made for WoW tooltips)*, and I’d love to hear from those of you who’ve done a launch from 0 before. I know I should have done more pre-launch, I've learned that for the next time. But now, this is where we're at. What is just a pitfall to avoid spending time and energy on *(I've heard paid ads is a waste of time and money, does... 1 1 replies
What’s the Fastest Way to Test if a Startup Idea is Worth It? - I will not promote There’s a lot of talk about MVPs, prototypes, and market validation, but I wonder… **what’s the fastest way to test if an idea is even worth pursuing?** I’ve seen founders pre-sell before building, others launch a landing page with ads, and some go all-in on building first. What’s worked for you? Any strategies that helped you validate an idea **without wasting months on it?**" \- I will not promote 2 1 replies
What's One Piece of Advice You Wish You'd Ignored as a First-Time Founder? - I will not promote We all get bombarded with advice when starting a company. Some of it's gold, but some of it's just plain wrong for your specific situation. What's one piece of advice you wish you had ignored? What well-intentioned guidance actually led you astray or wasted your time/resources? I will not promote. I'm hoping we can create a counter-guide of sorts, sharing the advice we should all be wary of. 3 0 replies
Top Incubators/Accelerators in the UK? I will not promote. Looking to move back to the UK and from what I hear, the startup scene there is starting to take off. Therefore, I was wondering if anyone here knows of reputable, bonafide accelerators or incubators? For context, our platform is in the B2C gig economy space. Thank you all in advance. 3 0 replies
Front-end Development - Tech Suggestions - I will not promote I am a non technical bootstrapped founder developing my MVP. I am attempting to bring my product to market with minimal features to test the fit. My developer has suggested the following for a front-end after seeing my designs from my designer. Any suggestions on his use of technology? For the development of the MVP (Minimum Viable Product), we should use Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and ShadCN/UI. These technologies will ensure that the application is fast, scalable, visually appealing, and user-friendly. Why Use Next.js? Next.js is a framework built on... 5 1 replies

Need advice: SAP Business One or TOTVS for a restaurant planning to franchise? (I will not promote) Hey everyone! I’m from **Brazil 🇧🇷**, and I’m trying to decide on the best ERP for my restaurant. I’d love to get some insights from you! I run a **Hawaiian food (poke) restaurant**, and we already have a unit focused on delivery. Now, we’re opening a **new location that will serve as a pilot project for a franchise model**. Because of that, I need an ERP that integrates **everything** – from **POS, inventory, and finance to HR, delivery operations, and franchise management**. After some research, I’ve narrowed it down... 3 2 replies
Anyone in Japan? I will not promote. This is probably a looong shot, but do we have anyone based in Japan here? I've been thinking about moving to Japan and continuing to work on my own project while I'm there, as well as studying Japanese. It'd be cool to connect with some like-minded people in Japan. I will not promote. 3 0 replies
Looking for potential tech co-founders. I will not promote Looking for potential tech co-founder. I will not promote Hi, I (we) have been building Asakiri, a language learning site where anyone can create a course. Problem - Language teachers find it hard to create their courses and sell them to students Language teachers often make their own courses usually in wordpress (or other nocode site builders) or do it themselves. For the former, they are not meant for language course creation so there is a lot left to be desired from the students. In the latter case of... 5 0 replies
Finding cofounders as motivated as you are. I will not promote. Finding anyone willing to join a pre-seed startup and work in their free time for no money is already hard enough. Most of the time, offering equity doesn't convince people to join you. Even when you give someone equity in the company, getting them to really commit and work hard for a year or more is almost impossible. Does anyone have advice for how to find good cofounders? I will not promote. 5 9 replies
Anyone based in Sweden? I will not promote. I live in Sweden, and spent most of last year running my own tech startup with 2 cofounders. We got into 3 startup incubators, but things didn't work out in the end. I briefly tried getting another company (not tech) off the ground after that, but that didn't go anywhere. I had another idea for a tech project, though, and have been hard at work developing it. I'm happy with the progress on the new project, and am applying things I learned from the incubators. For example, I started... 4 4 replies
I will not promote, has anyone used startupmag? Has anyone used startupmag online? I don't want to insert a URL for obvious reasons but if you could have a look yourself and if anybody has any experience in using this platform, I'd be grateful. I guess what I'm trying to get to the bottom of is is this a web scrap or are these actual genuine people interested in what the website suggests they're interested in? 3 0 replies
How do B2B startups do lead generation? (I will not promote) For the B2B companies in this subreddit, how do you perform lead generation? I find myself struggling with searching for the right companies through search engines, and I don’t think my workflow for lead gen is streamlined. I would love to know what your workflows are like and what your success rates are if you’re comfortable sharing. 2 1 replies

I will not promote: I just left my third startup Two weeks ago, I posted on here that I was having issues with a friend of 15 years who invited me to start a startup with him. I just left it yesterday morning because we have not made more than $112.50 in a year from virtual clothing sales. The other partner and I did not know about this until we were discussing virtual clothing as a way to generate revenue until my ex friend revealed the $112.50 revenue from the virtual shirts made 15 years ago by other people... 1 0 replies
What happens when software MVPs become “too easy” to build? (I will not promote) As more and more tools come out such as coding agents that allow founders to create MVP prototypes quicker, what happens to the other previous ways to validate or invalidate ideas? For example, we’ve seen successful startups start as manual services or demos like videos. My tried and true method is to put a framework in a book and sell consulting. Then bootstrap revenue to build software. Now I’m watching “young guns” prototype one-feature apps in hours. Sure, they’re not production quality but as far as MVPs go, way... 3 3 replies
How much should an MVP cost/what is too much? I will not promote I know every MVP is different, but what’s a general principle to go for when creating a budget or developing an MVP? I’m worried that if i don’t spend enough it won’t be to my expectations and if i spend too much on an idea that fails, how do i transition to my next one? 5 15 replies
I want to share an idea I finished right searching “ I will not promote” So looking to buy my brothers kid a gift. Then I got into a rabbit hole of gps trackers for kids, because child abduction is higher at certain ages. The market onle has a couple of products and the mostly work but because the kids don't like to have stuff that are not toys, they usually don't wear them or remove them. The idea is to have a watch that feels like a spy gadget. So imagine a Tamagotchi, and and apple watch combined, also with a laser, a... 4 5 replies
