Domain Migration For Low Traffic Site

I have a question for all of the SEO experts. I have a WordPress site and I'm looking to migrate a new name to the site. It was a movie/film news & reviews type site, and I'm going to be changing the content I write to be all about movies that have been created from scripts from the Annual Blacklist Scripts. My site was pretty new already, I had only started writing in August. Is it better to just delete every post I had once I have my domain name migrated? Or is it worth the work to implement all of the 301 redirects (and many other steps) necessary to lose as little SEO as possible? Or is there another option? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
