Stuck in Link Building

Hey Guys, I am an SEO with 3 years of experience, but the problem is that mainly I have done just link building work at least for 2 years out 3 years. In my first year, I started as an SEO executive but they only give me Guest Posting Outreach work mainly and for the whole year I kept asking for on-page work or something else, but they didn't. So, I resigned after 1 year of experience. Then in my next company (Second year), I was the only SEO person in the company but I did have mentor. I talked with him and created strategy through Skype Video call. In this company I got to and experience some real SEO work, but the problem was I had to do everything from Content Writing to Link Building (I mean everything). Also, the company didn't had budget for link building (I mean Guest Posting). And on top of that they wanted to rank for high competitive keywords like "Software Development Services", "Android App Development Services", etc. In the end, they didn't get any result and I was kind of fired (even I wanted to leave that place). Now, I am in my third company. Over here, my main work is to do Guest Posting (again I have to do this). I am working in this company for last 6 months and almost everyone's job (except senior level SEOs) is to make GP links. So, my question is what should I do to get better paying job. And please don't say upskill yourself, I know that much. Please help...!!! Thank you
