Best practice - affiliate links

Hi! I have a web which focuses on information pages. At the bottom of each page I have an affiliate ”banner”. My site gets some traffic, but zero banner clicks. The site is about gardening, and the links are like ”buy this plant at…”. Does any1 have recommendations about style / placement - a guide? Need clicks 😅
