B2B2C SEO dilemma in at new company
I just began working at a digital marketing consulting company and am focused on seo. I have a long background in business across different industries, but not in-depth seo expertise. I am working for a client that manufacturers solid-surface countertops. The nature of the industry is that 80% of buyers are homeowners, but they homeowners buy through retailers. The past few years were spent focused on raising traffic (achieved by creating a separate blog site because blog couldn't be added to existing website). Blog content has been so general that it's not helpful to professionals or homeowners. Client is complaining that there are barely any conversations (contact us button) on the main page. My team continues to do research on a non-brand keyword related to the material of the product. Competitive analysis and such. And figure out how to get blog readers to main site. But they still want to keep going with b2c content aiming at the whole country and seem to be hesitate to do a test on localized marketing. I want to choose a specific region and focus on local seo, and tailor content to retailers, dealers, and fabricators. Am I way off? And even if I am right, should I stay quiet since it's only been 2 weeks?3
