Ahrefs vs semrush

I am looking to buy one of these tools. My main usage would be researching multiple expired domains SEO scores and analyzing competition. One thing that bugs me is that for basic subscription of about $130 per month you get only 5 so called projects on each of those tools. That would be a problem since 5 projects = 5 websites to analyze and that just way to little, I would use that quota in a day. I used ahrefs way back and I don't remember such strict restrictions on usage, iirc. What tool would you recommend for my usage type?
