One of the oldest photos of Lahore

This photo was taken around 1849 by John McCosh. A Scottish army surgeon and war photographer who travelled with the British East India Company as a surgeon and photographer during the Second Anglo-Sikh War (1848–1849) and the Second Burmese War (1852–1853). This photo shows Gateway of Badshahi Mosque in the aftermath of the Second-Anglo Sikh War, Lahore, ca.1849
