Annyoing Interstellar re release D**k riding .
Bruh, I swear, this Interstellar circlejerk is reaching cult levels of cringe. Everywhere I look—Reddit, Insta, Twitter—it’s the same damn re-release discussions like they just unlocked the secrets of the universe. Yes, Interstellar is a great movie, no cap. But the way some of these so-called “educated” folks in India treat it like the holy grail of cinema? Absolutely unbearable. They act like if you haven’t watched Interstellar, you must be some primitive caveman who can’t comprehend “real” cinema. Newsflash: watching one Nolan movie doesn’t make you a philosopher, my guy. These self-proclaimed cinephiles stay comparing Interstellar—a high-budget Hollywood sci-fi blockbuster—to your average Indian movie like they’ve made some groundbreaking discovery. Like bro, no sh*t a $165M Nolan film looks better than a regional film made on a shoestring budget. That doesn’t mean Indian cinema is trash—it just means you have no clue how the industry works. And let’s be real, these dudes barely know anything beyond Nolan’s filmography. Ask them about 2001: A Space Odyssey, and they’ll probably pretend they’ve watched it, but the only "Odyssey" they know is the Honda model their uncle drives. Or try mentioning Prometheus—watch them glitch like an NPC. Kubrick made 2001: A Space Odyssey in 1968, and it still sh*ts on Interstellar in terms of technical innovation, storytelling, and sheer artistic vision. That film was a legit visual and conceptual revolution. Meanwhile, Interstellar is just a Hollywood-filtered take on space-time concepts that have been covered in science documentaries for decades. Anyone who’s seen Cosmos (hosted by Neil deGrasse Tyson), How the Universe Works, or Carl Sagan’s Cosmos: A Personal Voyage knows that Interstellar doesn’t bring anything new to the table—it just presents it with mind-blowing visuals. And that’s fine! But let’s not pretend it’s the holy grail of intellectual cinema. And this blind Nolan worship? It’s unbearable. Some of these Indian fans act like if you don’t kneel before Interstellar, your taste is garbage. Bro, chill. Watching a sci-fi blockbuster doesn’t make you a genius, and calling everyone else “chhapri” or “villager” just because they prefer masala films? That’s next-level delusion. Hell, I’ve watched both Pushpa and Interstellar, and guess what? Both are fire in their own way. Different audiences, different vibes, both executed brilliantly. You don’t see Pushpa fans crying about how Interstellar isn’t mass enough, so why do these Nolan stans act like Indian cinema is beneath them? And let’s talk about these so-called Odia cinephiles—how many of them have even heard of Dhauli Express(, ଧଉଳି ଏକ୍ସପ୍ରେସ)Maguni ra Sagada(ମାଗୁଣି ର ଶଗଡ଼)Sala Budha(ଶଲା ବୁଢ଼ା)Adim Bichar(ଆଦିମ ବିଚାର)or Mala Jahna(ମଲା ଜହ୍ନ)? Oh, right. None. Because it’s easier to worship Hollywood from a distance than to appreciate the cinema made in your own backyard. So yeah, if Interstellar is your thing, cool, enjoy it. But maybe stop acting like it’s the only intelligent movie ever made. And for god’s sake, go watch something other than Nolan for once.3
