History Books

I am currently doing some research(as I call it, but I mostly just learn)on the history of the Northeastern region. I rarely find books that involve these. Could you recommend me books by NE authors that I could get to learn more? I am just a history enthusiast. I hope you don't find this rude. I would prefer more specific ones as well, pertaining to tribes. Thank you in advance. This is my first post here.
