Why do we even ride bikes in India? I really wish for a better road awareness.

Opened newspaper and came across this. It makes me really sad and afraid to ride a two wheeler in India. May be the wrong sub but it really makes up a case for buying a cheap car in lieu of a costly bike. It's just sad.
