Does the guilt go away?

I recently told my mom I was planning on becoming a NEET and she was kind of offended/disappointed/angry and guilt tripped me a bit. Does the feeling go away after a few weeks or something? Assuming she doesn't guilt trip me again. I was once a NEET during the beginning of the pandemic, but it was the pandemic, my mental health was terrible, and my memory isn't that great.
