How to find past bought/sold lands by a particular person?

So I need to find the lands that were bought/sold by my grandfather. He passed away a few years ago, and we only know he owned lands in our village (kankavli). He was unwell and couldn't draft a WILL before he passed away. So, my main question here is that the lands are unknown. We need to find them using my grandfather's identity or death certificate. Can anyone please guide on how to proceed?
