Thinking of shifting from Bangalore to Mumbai/Navi Mumbai. How is life nowadays in Mumbai compared to 2010-2014?

Hi All. I used to live in Mumbai during 2010-2014 and absolutely loved it. I moved to Bangalore in 2020 and was ok here. But now it is becoming unbearable. There are stupid local people all around and cab drivers and auto wallahs try to kill you. Local neighbors have turned stalkers and question me regarding my life whenever I step out. I hate this place now except for the weather. I am not from Karnataka but decided to settle here. But the local folks are just unbearably weird, men and women both. Now I understand why northerners hate southerners. Mumbai never treated me this way. For context, I studied and worked abroad for some time, so might have an accent. But I try to fit in and keep to myself. Even then, some idiot old retired uncle will come and ask me about where I go and why I stay alone. Or some neighbor's kid will keep ringing my bell asking to come in to my house. It's weird. Bangalore has become a dump in the past few years. So my question is whether Mumbai still retains that cosmopolitan vibe it used to have? Is Navi Mumbai a good place to stay if one wants to be away from pollution?
