There was a post on this sub where people were hating on a Gujarati shop owner from Mumbai for keeping the name of his restaurant in Gujarati.
Link to the reference post about the Gujarati shop in Mumbai: https://www.reddit.com/r/Maharashtra/s/DWb8E4JQQD A lot of people were hating on the Gujarati guy in the post above for having the name of his restaurant written in Gujarati hailing from Mumbai. What I want to ask is how does it feel by looking at the pic above? A marathi shop was vandalised, the owners were abused and the shop hoarding was sprayed black by the kannada rakshana vedike (KRV) activists. How does it feel by being on the receiving end? All that language and identity politics does is divide in the name of cultural preservation. There's no end to it. It's a slippery slope to extremism and eventually violence. Why don't people understand this.3
