Marathis almost never migrated to other states after independence. Why?

Why does the Marathi Manus rarely leave his state for better opportunities in another state or country? I hardly see Maharashtrian food or restaurants outside Maharashtra or India. There are a few, but most of them are owned by Marwaris. Why is the Marathi Manus not known for business? Outside Maharashtra, almost no one recognizes who a Marathi or Marathi Manus is. Punjabis are known for their culture and Bollywood, while Gujaratis are known for their food and business. What are Marathis known for in India?
