“disk not ejected properly” when copying large files MacOS

My external storage gets disconnected when I try to copy large files. I’ve tried different formats Apfs , exfat etc still the problem is there. I’ve tried the same storage in windows & it works without any issues. Also changed my cable to a USB 4 cable, same issue. I have no idea what the problem is, I’m out of warranty but instead of fixing this garbage mac I would rather buy a Custom build PC where I don’t need SSDs hanging from my MAC. Useless garbage greedy Apple.
