Would I get security updates after 7 years?

I have a 2018 Macbook. I understand that this will be the last year that I will be getting an update (7 years). What happens next though? Would I be getting some security updates at least? My Macbook works totally fine and the battery life is fairly good. I don't use it everyday. Probably a few times a week for a couple of hours so I really don't want to buy a new one for now. Thank you!
