Why do so many redditors hate Macs & Apple?

You can barely make a comment out there that is pro-Mac/Apple, or even neutral for that matter, without getting dogpiled that it's "literally the worst OS/HW on the market". Other than for gaming, I find MacOS and Apple to have a very premium, refined feel. I know you can't swap out hardware easily or at all in case, but that's true for most slim form devices these days across platforms. The OS works well, it's efficient with the hardware, they have good resale, and they tend to last a long time no matter if you have an Air or a Pro. What is the absolute and prevalent hatred about? Is it even rational at this point, or has it carried over from a bygone era?
