Should I try MacOS?

I have been using Arch linux for the last few years, I'm tired of it, I just want something that works, and does the job, while it looking good by default (as I don't like configuring things). I also want most of the things to be open-source, and I am not buying a MacBook or anything related to Apple, as I don't really want to get into the *ecosystem*. I think Mac is a great choice, even tough is not open-source, I don't know, what do you guys think?
