Photos App Portrait Issue (HEIC)

Hello, currently running M4 MBP on Sequoia. I airdropped photos from my iPhone 16 Pro Max, and for some reason my portrait photos show up as portrait photos in the Mac OS Photos app, but the option to actually edit the portrait settings is not there. Weird thing is if I take that exact same photo in the app and convert it to JPEG it then gives the option to edit the portrait settings. I have read some forums online and this seems to be an issue for everyone importing iOS Portrait Photos shot in HEIC on iOS 18 and then using the Mac OS Photos App. Maybe it’s the same reason that HEIC photos shot in iOS 18 stopped working for Affinity as well, apparently they changed something in the way the format is done. Anyone else experience this issue?
