macOS save dialog doesn't show file type

When right click, save... from a browser, macos save dialgue does not show what file type it is saving. For instance when I right click to save an image from a browser, it will prompt where to save and the name, but does not show the extension it's going to save as or any indication of what type of file it is. Will it save as PNG, JPG, TIFF ? Same with Videos. I use Windows as well, and when you save, it shows the save to dialog but also shows what type of file it will be saved as. Is there an option I am missing? Example in this photo it autofills the name (based on the file name on the browser) but does not indicate file type.
