Is it possible to extend windows all the way down but still keeping the dock visible?

I already decreased the size of the dock but still too much unused screen space and I couldn´t find any third party apps. I was thinking if it is maybe possible to activate "automatically hide dock" but changing the time after which the dock dissapears to a longer time like 30min.
