How to get a better window management on macOS?

I really like macOS, but the window management is simply too bad **for me**. For those who also use or came from Linux or Windows, did you found any way to improve the window management on macOS? What I need is: * Quickly switch between desktops. With no animation if possible. I need to quickly switch between the terminal, browse and an editor. Using the mouse or cmd+tab is just too slow. * cmd+tab cycling through windows and not applications. * Maximised window should be within the current desktop and not under a "new" one. I think these are the only things holding me back on going full in the Apple ecosystem on my own computers too.
