How do you troubleshoot extension and privacy conflicts?
I have a Canon camera which can be used as a webcam if you have this piece of Canon Software on your computer. It requires several items to be given access through the privacy tab in Settings, as well as installing a system extension. I have approved this in my main user account, but no matter what I do the camera will not be recognized and so the Canon software doesn't seem to "see" the camera. If I create a clean user account and launch the Canon software, it prompts me to install and approve the same extensions and privacy items as my main user account. But after accepting these items the camera functions (in this new user account) as a webcam with no issues whatsoever. Additionally, I CAN get the camera to connect to the computer in my main user account if I launch Adobe Lightroom and begin a tethered shooting session. This leads me to believe that some item that I have added to my extensions, or some other element that draws on "cameras" in the system is preempting the Canon Webscam software in my account. The question I have is how might I troubleshoot this/find the conflicting item without one by one turning off other extensions, and disallowing other items in my privacy settings and rebooting the computer after each adjustment. I have dozens of these items, and this seems like an inefficient way to find the culprit.3
