What kind of stupid road work is being done near Infopark?!

The tarring has been completely removed and there are rock pieces, gravel all around, for almost a kilometer before Edachira junction. Just today, I saw 2 bikers almost falling down. There is no sign of any new work being done except removing the existing road. Has been going on for almost a week now. Vivarom oru jana prathinithi polum ille ivide? Ruling party or opposition. People’s lives have pullu vila. Grass. Grass. We are all masses of grasses! Rant over. Peace! Can anyone with knowledge tell me why is it done so stupidly?
