Hit and Run Near Lulu Mall in Kochi: Driver Disappeared into the Mall. need advice

Yesterday, my friend was driving near Lulu Mall in Kochi when our car was struck by another vehicle while taking a U-turn. The other driver seemed okay initially, as it was busy, we told that we'll take the vehicle to the side but then he quickly drove into Lulu Mall and disappeared. We were able to get the other car's number plate. We then went to Lulu Mall security and inquired about the car using the number plate. They confirmed that the car had entered the mall but had since exited. Thankfully, they were able to provide us with a photo of the car as it was leaving. From the photo, we identified the car as belonging to Crocuz Holidays," a taxi service. We contacted Crocuz Holidays, and initially, they assured us they would take care of the damage. However, today their attitude has completely changed. The driver is now claiming that these accidents are common and that we should get the repairs done ourselves. He's only willing to pay a portion of the costs and is being extremely dismissive. We've informed the police about the incident, but we're unsure of the next steps. Seeking advice from other Kochi residents on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.
