NYE stuff to do tonight (younger crowd)

Friend and I are foreigners in town for New Years. Been enjoying the food and architecture- we are looking for a good spot to drink and watch fireworks and socialize with other younger people tonight. We saw flyers for NYE parties, one which was far outside the city. was wondering what areas will be fun tonight. Cheers
