had a pigeon trapped on a manja in my balcony

this happens every year and i really hope it stops soon. the pigeon had got all tangled in the manja , naturally he struggled and eventually one of his wings got totally seprated from his body. he lost a lot of blood and also fell down atleast 15 meters down. he died in a comfy pile of cloths ,3 hours later. there is nothing actually wrong with the makar sakranti and the act of kite flying. whats wrong is flying kites till late in the afternoon , flying them near trees and from higher surfaces and so much more. not only are we killing the birds, there is so much waste left after the festival too, which also seriously harms all the other animals. i really hope atleast those who read this fly kites responsibly and with awareness
