When will the media start talking about the corruption in the bureaucracy, judiciary and law enforcement in this country?
For the last two weeks, this country has continuously been fed the news about a pathetic attempt at comedy by a podcaster. Meanwhile, there is an IPS officer roaming free after smashing a glass on a person's head. Almost 2 months after the event, not even a FIR has been filed against the said IPS officer. Am I to believe that his superiors didn't have any clue what was going on under them? Was there any investigation on the assets of his superiors? Link to the case here: https://theprint.in/india/with-amassed-assets-worth-rs-500-700-cr-how-corrupt-ex-rto-constable-has-sparked-political-row-in-mp/2444457/ There is a judge who has allegations of demanding bribe in her court and abetment of suicide. The allegations were made by a man about to commit suicide. While the wife and family have already been arrested, granted bail or whatever else has been going on there. There has not been a single peep against the judge. Not even an investigation. I think everyone knows which case is being talked about here. There is a case where a 17 year old guy ran over two people in Pune. The corruption was so blatant there. From the judge who granted the boy a bail after writing a 300 words essay to the doctor who took his mother's blood for the blood alcohol level test. The MLA who reached the police station to make sure the 17 year old wasn't mistreated by the police. After a lot of hue and cry the boy and his family were arrested, but does anyone know what action was taken against the people responsible for enforcing laws in this case? These are just 4 cases that were big enough to come to light. On the daily basis, this country runs on corruption. Even for things as little as passport verification or a marriage certificate, a bribe is expected (Don't come at me with your anecdotes about how you didn't have to pay the bribe). There are so many issues plaguing the country, but the biggest issue really is the corrupted law enforcement, judiciary and bureaucracy in the country. Yet, the media ensures that these issues are not brought to light, and why would they? The last man who did was found dead.
