What is the point of the Latent app?

In excitement, I got the Latent app when it was announced. The videos there are the same as the one on Samay’s YT channel, members only content included(for members, offc). Still don’t understand what’s the point or perk for end users? 😕 Videos will still be posted on YT due to monetisation and also, all paid members may not get the app.
