Seeking Recommendations!!! (Do Read the Entire Post)
Hi everyone, I'm looking for recommendations for ITV shows. I'll start by sharing what I've watched so far to give you a better understanding of my taste. I grew up watching ITV with my mom, and I watched many serials (hindi and telugu) during my childhood like *Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon*, *Madhubala*, *YHM*, *Diya Aur Baati Hum*, and many more. After a 15-years gap of watching ITV, I’ve become someone who watches all kinds of content: web series, anime, K-dramas, Turkish dramas, Pakistani dramas, movies, animated films, cartoons, gaming, etc. Recently, I felt like watching something new, so I remembered ITV. The first ITV show I watched after so many years was ***Saavi Ki Savaari*** during the summer. After that, I started watching: * *Ghum Hai Kisi Ke Pyaar Mein* (Season 2 onwards) * *Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai* (4th generation onwards) * *Mehendi Hai Rachnewali* (Stopped after 100 episodes) * *Pandya Store* (Season 2) * *Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi* * *Pyar Ke Sath Vachan Dharam Patni* These are the shows I’ve watched recently. I continued watching them because I enjoyed ***Saavi Ki Savaari*** so much at first and I can say that was perfect for me including the ending. Upon reflection, I realized I liked it because of the trope where **a couple has a** ***circumstantial marriage*** **and slowly falls for each other.** **The pretty female lead and their performance in acting also played a big part**. Many of the shows I watched afterward, including *Ghum Hai Kisi Ke Pyaar Mein*, *Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai*, and others, followed the same trope. *Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi* was a bit different and unique. The most recent show I completed was *Pyar Ke Sath Vachan Dharam Patni*. I really enjoyed it. The first 100 episodes were a bit dragged but filled with good moments and significant character arc changes. Then, the show became really interesting, and I stopped caring about the logic. I was just waiting for the next emotional moment. The show kept delivering, and the moments kept building up until it reached 222 episodes which was the last episode. But even though it ended, I feel like there’s so much more potential to continue the story. I've come to appreciate how serials truly do justice to this trope, as they have the time and space to explore it in depth across hundreds of episodes. This allows for meaningful character development and beautiful romantic moments without focusing solely on intense romance. While many people criticize serials, I don't mind because they entertain me. To me, serials are more about entertainment than offering groundbreaking or out-of-the-box content. Now, I’d love for this community to understand my taste and recommend other ITV shows that I might enjoy. I’m not too concerned about logic, as long as I can connect with the trope and the characters.1
