Secunderabad RPO for Passport appointment

I saw a couple of posts on the sub that one can walk in to Secunderabad RPO for passport enquiries. Is the facility only for enquiries or main appointments as well? I unsuccessfully tried to secure a tatkal appointment today. I am due to fly out of the country in about 30 days. Looking for ways to secure quick passport appointment. Thanks.
