Could you please clarify if I'm interpreting the information correctly, or if I've misunderstood it?

Chapter 8, slok 6 of shiv gita, whose English meaning is written here "When the ovum is dominant, the progeny will be female, while when the sperm is dominant, the progeny is male. When the ovum and sperm are equal, a eunuch is born." Taken from this link :- (. https://sandeepa.in/2022/04/22/siva-gita-chapter-8-the-cosmic-form-slokas-1-slokas-70-uttara-khanda-padma-purana/) Scientific theory: XX chromosomes A female baby is produced when the sperm cell contributes an X chromosome, resulting in XX chromosomes XY chromosomes A male baby is produced when the sperm cell contributes a Y chromosome, resulting in XY chromosomes I'm fascinated by the ancient wisdom in our religious texts, which seem to hint at a remarkable theory. However, I'm having trouble understanding this sloka. According to science, the development of male and female characteristics is determined by the XY chromosomes of male . I'm wondering if I've misunderstood the sloka, as it appears to suggest that the both male and female body plays a role in determining the sex of a child. Could someone please help clarify this for me?
