Need some advice about quitting my job. In a tough spot.
So my current company is extremely toxic, toxic to the lengths I cannot even put in words. It's one of the so called big 5 or 6 idk. Manager, partner are HORRIBLE. My mental and physical health both are getting drained here. And guess what? They're paying less than half of what I deserve. They're paying me peanuts. The work load is horrible, they don't care about your working hours or load, they don't give a flying fuck about anything. Last week I asked for 2 leaves and the manager CC'd the whole team including partner and other team members in a mail which said "guys please suggest if she should get the leave." What fuckery is this man? They're rude and horrible in more ways that I can put into words here. They expect you to work 24*7 beyond your working hours and capacity. And occasionally the partner keeps sending rude af emails. His new year mail said “happy new year, the orientation in 2025 will not be liberal for you guys, enough of excuses and attitude, get done with it” what the fuck was this man? I’m so drained man. I am on the verge of quitting. I just want some advice. I joined this company 6 months back, if I quit in February my notice period will only be 30 days. How long does it take to get a new job? I have some savings to last me 2-3 months. And I live with my parents who are super supportive. So currently my expenses aren’t do not include rent etc. Should I quit and then look for a job? Will I find one in 2-3 months? Will the gap, if any, matter alot or not let me get a new job? Any advice here is appreciated guys, I’m in much need.4
