How is commuting 3-4 hours daily considered "normal" in NCR? 🤯
So, I moved to Gurgaon recently, and one thing that absolutely *shocks* me is how people here are okay with commuting insane distances every single day. Like, I know the NCR region is massive, but how is it "normal" for people to travel from Noida → Gurgaon, Ghaziabad → Gurgaon, or even Delhi → Gurgaon *daily*? That’s **3-4 hours of your life gone** just sitting in traffic or packed inside a metro. Every. Single. Day. That’s like an extra part-time job, except instead of getting paid, you’re just losing sanity. I asked a few colleagues about it, and their responses blew my mind: * *"Oh, you get used to it."* — But… why should you? * *"I listen to podcasts, so it’s productive."* — Bro, you could be sleeping. * *"Real estate is cheaper in Noida/Ghaziabad, Gurgaon is too expensive."* — Fair, but at what cost?? * *"WFH was so much better, but now we have to come to the office 2-3 days a week."* — This one hurt the most. I’m genuinely intrigued. How do people do this every day without losing their minds? Is it just an NCR thing? Or is this just what adulthood is—slowly accepting suffering? 😂 Would love to hear how y’all manage this because I don’t think I can ever normalize this in my head.1
